Christmas pudding clubbers: It’s almost Christmas Pudding day!
Pop your pudding on just before you sit down to eat your lunch, steam in the oven or on the hob for a good hour or so – they are quite dense so if it’s a big one, go for longer. Warm a ladle or two of brandy in a saucepan with a spoonful of sugar. When the pudding is done, turn out onto a plate, fill a ladle with warmed brandy, set light to the brandy in the ladle ( hold at arms length.. ) and pour gently onto the pudding.
