Brownies by post
Well we’ve missed this year’s Valentines day. But hey, my Dad always said ‘if a jobs worth doing it’s worth doing right’. So to rush things through and have a website we weren’t happy with just wasn’t an option. Therefore we come to you a little late.
We may have our new brownies by post business up and launched. But egg&spoon have been cooking at events, weddings and private parties for years now. Somehow we’ve managed to do this and remain busy without a website and just through word of mouth and the prolific handing out of business cards.
To all our regular clients, this doesn’t mean our bespoke service is going to change in any way, it just means we’ll hopefully be able to have nicer holidays, although we’ll have less time to take them in.
Now, I know chocolate brownies aren’t new by any stretch and delivering them to your door also is being done. We just had so many requests from our event work for the recipe that we had to see if it was viable to share them with the wider population on a daily basis.
So we did our research, (trumpet blowing time), and found that a lot of the products out there just aren’t good enough. (or rather, as good as ours). The difference between a chocolate cake and a chocolate brownie may only come down to minutes in the oven but in the mouth the difference is massive. Overcook a brownie even slightly and your finished cake like texture isn’t worthy of those magical 7 little letters.
Our brownies by post are the result of years of work in the catering industry and not just a hobby.
