Fran Soler & Ben Albertson met working at Mildreds in Soho in 1999 and then spent years on the road catering for music tours – Coldplay, Queen, The Police, Justin Timberlake, Norah Jones, Willie Nelson, Belle & Sebastian, Bruno Mars, Foo Fighters, Joan Baez, and Muse – to name just a few – and working on numerous large events and festivals, before establishing Egg & Spoon in 2006. As Egg & Spoon we have been providing food at product launches, weddings & civil partnership ceremonies, corporate weekend events, concerts, festivals, private dinner parties, bbqs and street parties, for intimate dinners and parties for hundreds in all kinds of amazing venues; castle ruins, the middle of a field, the beach, historic houses, private gardens, galleries, museums, back stage of theatres, marquees and boutique hotels.
We have a fantastic team of friendly, professional staff to make your event run smoothly and who make it their business to be sure you have a great time too. From ensuring that the tee-total mother of the groom gets her cup of tea in a real china cup immediately upon arrival, to handing out mugs of steaming hot cocoa & marshmallows to guests sitting around the fire pit on a perfect starry night… Egg & Spoon understand it’s the little details that make your special event into an extraordinary day.
We don’t make a song & dance about our local, seasonal & green credentials – it’s just how we do things anyway. Our menus do reflect the seasons and availability of produce. All our eggs are from happy, free range chickens. We love Sussex cheeses and they feature heavily in our menus and cheese boards. We’re always happy to discuss seasonal menus to suit your event.
